This series was passion project for me. At a relatively young age, I became infatuated with the art nouveau styles of Alphonse Mucha, Gustave Klimt, Egon Schille, George Privat-Livemont, and others. For my thesis at Pratt, I studied their techniques and experimented with with how they could live within my personal visual language in modern times. The idea of making seed packets happened upon my discovery that most seed packets look remarkably similar to one another. I love plants, so it felt like a natural and exciting way to explore these ideas. Although the style of my work has evolved and expanded a lot since my school days, these works were quintessential in helping me explore and embody my visual identity.
